The beauty of documentary film making is that it allows us to capture and preserve an old way of life so that future generations may watch and see professions that are no longer carried out. This documentary about the last ice merchant is an interesting look at a job that people across the world would do. I appreciate that one of these individuals took up construction and the next one took up ice cream making instead. The image of that old man holding his raspberry ice cream is a nice one.

A bouldering documentary about the pleasure of first ascents, keeping places secrets, the things to take in to consideration when speaking about new routes and of course the effects of the weather.

Spoken like a Woman is an interesting look at the role that women have had in broadcasting history with the BBC. From the early days before the second world war and up until today. The sound bites are interesting.

An interview with the founder of Gopro. There are some interesting and amusing moments. Fun to see how so little capital could build something that would grow to become so popular over a number of years.

This short feature would benefit from interviews with the photographers rather than commentators commenting. How do the photographers think about their craft. How do those who are photographed view what is taking place. Why do they do it.

I would like to see more climbing documentaries where there is a timelapse of people making their way up. They look like ants rather than humans as a result. That part is 2 minutes and 20 seconds in.

I quite like the period images from the beginning. The story begins in 1936 with steam trains and a moleskine notebook. We have a link to the 1936 Munich olympics before being brought in to the present.
