UNDERCITY from Andrew Wonder on Vimeo.
Undercity is a documentary following people exploring the hidden side of New York City.
Austrian and Italian troops fought in the mountains of the Dolomites during the First world War. They used via ferrata to get from one point to another. In this video you see one of the hospitals and the landscape in which these troops fought.
The Jockstrap Raiders from Mark Nelson on Vimeo.
A fun little animation.
Venture to the Eiger from Bouken Boy Media on Vimeo.
Just another base jump in Switzerland. In this on though rather than catch a helicopter up to the Mushroom they walk.
The Longest Way 1.0 - walk through China and grow a beard! - TIMELAPSE from Christoph Rehage on Vimeo.
The idea of going on a trip that lasts for more than a year is a common one. People go by car, by walking or by foot. In so doing they discover a new side of life that they had not known before. The simpler the mode of transport the cheaper. In this case the traveller produced a timelapse of his hair growing over an extended period.

Really fun video where they use divers with DPV (diver propulsion vehicles) for an underwater sequence. One of the most interesting underwater sequences I’ve seen in a while.
Normally winning an oscar is a reason for me not to watch something. A friend commented on facebook that this was a fantastic short so finally I clicked. For weeks before hand I had seen the video on vimeo and thought twice about clicking.
Climbing is in our genes. We were monkeys after all, generations ago. If you’re lucky enough to start climbing at a young age then you can resemble the girl from this video. Climbing is fun. It’s a great way to see beautiful landscapes. The Via ferrata season should be around soon and I’ll be back in the mountains every week when the weather allows.
The first time I went to St Hilaire du Touvet was for the Coupe D’Icare event which is held every September. It is a mountain film festival and parapente competition. The second time I went was with Glocals friends to climb up the via ferrata. There are two routes up. One is an easier one. The second is a hard one. What makes the second one so hard is that it’s vertical, up a chimney of sorts.
