When you cycle from Mies towards France you can then take this path through the trees rather than the main road. It takes you from near the border to Crassier with little exposure to cars. :-)

I think someone had a puncture, removed the rear wheel and went to get it fixed before coming back. without a bike lock hiding it in the grass makes sense.
There are no dog walkers here. :-)
